My research interests lie within developmental biology; particularly organogenesis. As a first year I am currently rotating through labs in order to pick a permanent lab for my thesis work. When picking which graduate school to attend I found the range of faculty research interests in CBA and the interdisciplinary atmosphere a huge draw to the department. The final selling point for me was the abundance of hiking trails and opportunities for various outdoor activities around Tucson and within AZ.
Laurel is from Lovingston, Virginia. She received a bachelors of science degree in Biology from Sweet Briar College.
